This Is For The Naturally Skeptical Clients Out There… I Promise I’ll Make You Happy If You Simply Have Faith!
Trust Comes Natural To Some, Not To Others
Most of the time, clients trust me simply due to the way I conduct myself on the phone. On some occasions, people come to me who are naturally skeptical – and I understand that, I’m in the real world too! Unfortunately, sometimes when they are skeptical, it stops them from getting insurance that they desperately need, and that breaks my heart sometimes. Such is life… but if you’re watching this and are on the fence – just remember, we REALLY DO have your best interests at heart!
I have had experiences where I have created an amazing insurance plan for a client, and because of their skepticism, or belief that it must be too good to be true…. they hesitate and don’t enroll with me. That is always a sad day when that happens, because I fully understand the caliber of the insurance that I provide, and I know that the plans that I represent are always in the best interests of the client, and have what they need. It’s easy to hesitate in this world we live in – there’s so many people trying to swindle you on a daily basis, it’s hard to see past the bad experiences to find the good intentioned ones among us.
A Word Of Caution
Something I want to point out, and let my clients be aware of… If you DO decide to go elsewhere, I encourage you to do your homework on the companies that you speak with, and really understand their products and what it’s doing for you. Understand its limitations, and what it can and cannot do for you. I have run across insurance agents in my day that don’t have your best interest at heart, and I can tell right way when they have sold you a product to get a commission, and not because it was in your best interest. It’s easy to do unfortunately, because the world of insurance is a complicated world.
Here’s An Example
I came across a client the other day that already had a health insurance policy, but had recently been visited my an agent to her house, that said he had a BETTER plan for her, and that he would help her cancel her old plan, and get her set up on her new plan which, on paper and from the mouth of the agent – seemed like a great idea. Here’s the problem… the old plan was just fine, and the client had already had a bunch of medical bills built up and paid toward the deductible. The new plan had a lower deductible, so it seemed to be better. Once she signed up for the new plan, she didn’t realize that she would be losing all that money she put toward the deductible which would help it be paid off for the year soon, and now she’s starting over again from scratch, with a newer deductible. Basically, the agent just cost this woman a lot more money out of pocket for no reason other than he wanted the commission, and knew that he understood insurance better than she did. I told her what had happened, and that if she wants to report this agent, I’d be happy to help her do it.
It’s Scary Out There
It’s a scary world out there, and that’s why I try to help my clients feel the love and connection that I have, by writing these blog posts, and creating these videos. I do not make money by doing this, it actually takes up a lot of my free time…!
